Quetzalcoatl

Quetzalcoatl
Quetzalcoatl

This mythical hero is claimed as the common ancestor of almost all Mesoamerican peoples.

He dates back to at least 200 BCE when representations of a rattlesnake with the long green feathers of the quetzal bird adorned the temple of the central Mexican city of Teotihuacan.

In human form, he appears as a warrior adorned with feathers.
